Use of optical polarizing microscopes

Extraction of optical polarizing microscope: the right hand holds the lens, the left hand supports the lens base, so that the lens arm towards themselves. Do not hold a mirror in one hand, lest the parts fall off and break.
Observation position: lift the microscope gently to the front left of the body. The observation posture should be correct. Generally, the specimen should be observed with the left eye and drawn with the right eye open. For polarizing microscopes with tilting lens arms, tilt the lens to an Angle suitable for self-observation.
For light operation: turn the coarse adjusting screw to make the mirror cylinder rise (or the object platform fall). Then turn the rotating disc, and aim the low power objective lens at the round hole of the object carrier. Then open the aperture, lift the concentrator, and turn one side of the mirror toward the light source, using a flat surface for strong light and a concave surface for weak light. In general, parallel light sources (such as sunlight) use the plane part of the mirror in principle; Point light sources (such as fluorescent lamps) in principle use the concave part of the mirror to increase brightness. The left eye then observes the field of vision through the eyepiece. At the same time, adjust the direction of the reflector, the height of the concentrator and the aperture by hand until the brightness in the field of vision is even, bright but not dazzling.
